Kaiser Permanente approached Banner Mountain Creative in 2006 in order to design and build a completely new web based presentation for their South Sacramento Medical Center, which also includes several other facilities on the campus.

Kaiser has vast Internet oriented properties and libraries on their national site, kp.org. The new site for South Sacramento Medical Center, not only had to act as a gateway to all these valuable resources but also needed to act as the local conduit for Kaiser members to directly reach their health care provider and inform the communities in South Sacramento and Elk Grove of news, expansion, new equipment and services. Of course, the site also offers health education programs and local resources for specific health care needs. When South Sacramento was awarded the new Trauma Center BMC also designed and built that site which was accessible through a flash banner at the top of the page.

One of the main objectives for South Sacramento was to provide members with an entirely new approach to touring their hospitals facilities.  Banner Mountain Creative created an all new, totally navigable 360° panoramic interactive virtual tours of Labor and Delivery, Surgical Suites and Recovery, Optical and Hearing Centers, Pharmacies, Emergency and the Health Education Department. As always, the job of photographing, stitching, encoding and deployment of the tours was done entirely in-house. Banner Mountain Creative developed and deployed a unique presentation of the “Live Long and Thrive” theme for the site by creating a three dimensional rotating “coin” that appears on all pages of the site. In June of 2011 Kaiser Permanente has mandated that all the individual hospital campus websites be rolled into kp.org. In addition, Banner Mountain Creative  developed a complete web application for the office of the Medical Controller for Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento. This Intranet site offers animations of the Controller’s offices objectives as well as literally hundreds of links to documentation, employee information, bulletins, news and a cornucopia of other important information.

Even further, Banner Mountain Creative developed 20 educational videos (the doctors in their own words) for Kaiser Permanente and numerous other web, print and animation properties for the health care giant. Banner Mountain Creative still hosts several smaller / micro-sites for the South Sacramento / Elk Grove complex.
